25TH SEPTEMBER – CAPTAIN’S RECEPTION – FAIRWAY RESTAURANT – KAREN COUNTRY CLUB

A special welcome party hosted efficiently by Karen Country club. Everyone dressed to impress and the two captains introduced their pairings with confidence and expectation. The buffet was a spread of African cuisine from Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana. An evening of togetherness in readiness for the hostilities to follow.

Congratulations to the two captains for making the evening memorable.

MATCH DAY ONE – FOURBALL AT MUTHAIGA GOLF CLUB

The two captains Bo Ciera (Kenya) and Fred Coker (Nigeria) led their teams to the first day of the battle of the greens at the legendary Muthaiga Golf Club.Excellent conditions and fierce battle culminated in the Kenyans winning by a 4 point margin. Kenyan team won three matches and the Nigerians one.

MATCH DAY 2 – SINGLES MATCH – KAREN COUNTRY CLUB.

The final day of the matchplay golf. The Kenyans cemented their advantage by winning 7-1 on the day. Overall score 10-2. A resounding victory by the magnificent Kenyans. Well deserved.

GALA NIGHT AT RED GINGER

The Gala night saw everyone dressed up in their traditional outfit including players and guests. A classy live band helped to liven up the night together with lovely Indian cuisine. Awards went to winners of nearest the pin, longest drive and best player over the two days of golf.

Kenya were presented with the overall winners trophy! Well deserved too.

28TH SEPTEMBER – NATIONAL PARK VISIT

The event would not be complete without experiencing the Safari. The Nigerian team visited the Nairobi National Park. Lions, Rhinos and Baboons welcomed them!

Excellent experience of the beauty of nature.
