The Italians warmed up on the 20th by playing the DX challenge mini competition at Radlett Golf club based on Stableford. It was eventful, competitive and enjoyable. The overall winner on the day was Alessandro Fattore with 39 points, nearest the pin won by Alessandro Scattolin and longest drive by Stefano Burighel. The night was capped with dinner at the word famous Caribbean Restaurant “Cottons” in Chalk Farm, London.

The main event was at Luton Hoo. Fourball match play jamboree. Each team represented their country proudly. Luigi (Italian captain) and Fraser (the English Captain) led their teams on the course. It was a close contest which culminated in Italy winning the first Merchant of Venice cup competition 4-2.We enjoyed a well laid out 3 course lunch at Adam’s Brasserie washed down with excellent wine from our sponsors.
